Deciding on a 2004 impala or 1998 honda civic lx 4dr?

So heres the thing i drive through hills quite a bit. The impala should have no struggles going uphill but the honda i believe would. And the impala is at 190k miles honda is 140k. Of course the honda has way better gas mileage. The impala is like new from inside and out, honda is okay outside but the inside is all torn up. Lastly the impala is 2400$ and civic is 1800$ what are your opinions, i guess what i'm asking is would the honda really have trouble going uphill?

Hi so why bother with either both are well pasted being any good a newer car is what you need preferably newer that 8 years old and less than 80 k miles.

Those are probably the only 2 cars out of all the ones i've seen that run with no problems at the moment at those prices tbh there are others but cost more and i can affornd only under 2,500$ i live in los angeles most cars are over 100k.

Even though the Honda Civic is 17 years old, worn inside, it will still be running when the Impala is dead. But the fact that it is only ok outside and worn inside tells me that the previous owner did not take care of the car. I personally would get neither car. But if you really insist have the Civic inspected by a trusted mechanic to see if it is mechanically sound. If so, then buy it.

Honda. Take the honda. My friend had an accord and that thing ran forever. He hit a million miles and replaced the engine then. But that does depend on how you treat the car. I also saw a video where they cit the Honda I'm half and drove it around like that with two wheels and the gas tank in the passenger side of the car. Hondas are awesome. Impalas are cool but I'd take a Honda any day. But of course that's my opinion.
