Yes you do.
My best advice is to take your car to the machine shop to see how much damage has been done to the block.
What happens is when the engine overheats the block can get warped and the machine shop will do their measurements on how much they have to shave down for it to be in a safe tolerance. Otherwise you may need a new engine.

- Motorcycle starter over heated starter and only the solenoid clicked so i rebuilt the starter n tested it with a battery n it worked fine? Put it back in bike and again only the solenoid clicks… Is there a fuse for the starter or a relay i may have blown? 1988 honda hurricaine 1000F i'm ready to hang it up but the bike runs so good when it runs. i ran out of gas n kept trying to start it till battery was dead and that is how it got this way.
