The AC Pro does not know what car it is hooked to. What I do know is the people buy this product and attempt to service what is the most complex and dangerous system installed in a vehicle. Imagine the refrigerator/freezer in your home or the home AC system. Could you or would you know how to work any repairs or service on these? THE fallacy that a simple recharge can make a car's AC system all OK is common. A car's AC system is sealed and IF there's a low gas condition then that means there's a leak. IF there's a leak adding gas is a fool's errand for the gas shall escape. Imagine a simple water bucket with a leak. Would adding more water "fix" the leak? I do not recommend that anyone not trained, certified and experienced in auto mechanics do anything to a car let alone attempt to handle AC service. It is just a waste of money. I suggest you contact a mechanic and explain what is going on with this Civic. That is THE only way and, at times, even a mechanic may have issues unless specifically trained.

Yes,
but you need to read the instructions or you can ruin your system.

There's a good chance that you didn't actually screw the top down tight enough for it to puncture the can. That being said, you need to be *very* careful and honestly, the fact that you can't make the refrigerant come out, is a little scary. Have a mechanically inclined friend help you do it. If you don't have a system leak, it certainly CAN help.

I successfully used one of these systems on a 2010 Ford Fusion Sport that from delivery as a new car never really had super cold AC, especially during 95-100+ heat days. After recharging the system myself, it's like new.
