Honda Suggests I run my Civic with lights on. WHY?

Dealer claims that this will ensure that battery is used and kept charged.

Seems like a design flaw to me.

In Canada you need to have driving lights during the day, so all cars do that.
I think the dealers reason is BS.

That makes no sense to me.

Who ever told you that does not understand electrical engineering at all. That makes no sense for several reasons, he's wrong.

Only thing I can think of is he's trying to get you to use up your lights quicker and hoping his dealership will get the maintenance to replace them. But thats such a small job over so many years. I don't know the guy is just an idiot maybe.
