How to find the engine number for my Honda civic LX if its not on top of the engine block?

In the manual it said that it would appear to be right on top of the engine block, I looked for it and its not there. So is it possible to find it elsewhere?

Hi the Vin number will also relate to the engine which is fitted.

  • Which of these would top as number 1 in s drag race? Ok so here are the cars: nissan s15 silvia, dodge challenge, acura rsx, mitsubishi evo vlll( it was on f&f tokyo drift), honda s2000, which of these cars would most likely win in a drag race as #1?
  • Where else can i find my engine model number? I have a d series motor in my honda, but the previous owner i guess scratch out the model number on the block below the intake manifoldmanifold, where it should be! Any idea where else i can find it?
  • Does a top mount intercooler have to be on top? I've got a 13b Turbo II Intercooler from an rx7 and I was wondering if it could be side mounted on a honda. I figure I'd just have to custom fit it somewhere but, I wanted some input if it would work like that. It should considering it's just a basically a cooler.
  • Does the honda 600rr have its transmission in its engine? I bought a used honda 600 and it has a transmission problem. I went to a repair shop and he said they can't fix it because they have to completely disassemble the engine and that is a mess. Is it true and did he just say that because he doesn't want to do it?
