How to make my Honda Civic LXi 2000 go faster?

I have my Honda Civic LXi 2000 Sedan. And i want it to go faster. What are the things i should do to speed it up more?

It all depends how much you want to spend and how knowledgeable you are. Your car probably has the d16y7 which makes only 115 horses… And if its auto its even slower due to weight, gear ratios etc. Firstly you wanna make sure the car is properly maintained. Spark plugs, oil, etc. Next buy a few bolts ons. An intake will add 3-5 horses depending on style an exhaust header will add another 8. A full cat back exhaust will probably add 10 more at the expense of loud exhaust noise. If you're still needeing more power swap it for a 5 speed manual tranny, and swap a d16y8 head or d16z6 head. Having your ecu chipped and tuned would be highly recommended as well. You'll need to get a vtec ecu anyways if you do a head swap
