I can't overfill a honda civic 2008 with gas by an extra 2 gallons like I used too? - 1

Added (1). After it stops pumping I used to be able to pull the nozzle out a bit and fill an extra 2 gallons until the gas reached the top, but now the gas reaches the top after its done pumping and i fill it just a little bit. Then when I start driving the full tank drops a notch after 5 miles when before I used to over fill it an extra an extra 2 gallons and the full tank wouldn't drop a notch for at least 60 miles. Why can't I overfill the tank anymore?

Thank you for telling us that.

You wasted an "o" too!

Why would you want to waste gas by doing so?

Is it a different car? If not, it's a different pump and you have to pump slowly for it to fill without it stopping. Somebody tell Percy that my Accord went 752 miles on one tank averaging 39.6 mpg on that trip because I added the extra 2.9 gallons to top it off, so I'm sure doing so couldn't have hurt my mileage very much.

Over filling a tank will mess with any sensors in the tank. You just broke your fuel gauge.
