I can't overfill a honda civic 2008 with gas by an extra 2 gallons like I used too? - 1
Added (1). After it stops pumping I used to be able to pull the nozzle out a bit and fill an extra 2 gallons until the gas reached the top, but now the gas reaches the top after its done pumping and i fill it just a little bit. Then when I start driving the full tank drops a notch after 5 miles when before I used to over fill it an extra an extra 2 gallons and the full tank wouldn't drop a notch for at least 60 miles. Why can't I overfill the tank anymore?
Thank you for telling us that.
You wasted an "o" too!
Why would you want to waste gas by doing so?
Is it a different car? If not, it's a different pump and you have to pump slowly for it to fill without it stopping. Somebody tell Percy that my Accord went 752 miles on one tank averaging 39.6 mpg on that trip because I added the extra 2.9 gallons to top it off, so I'm sure doing so couldn't have hurt my mileage very much.
Over filling a tank will mess with any sensors in the tank. You just broke your fuel gauge.
- What happens if i overfill oil in my 2002 Honda CRV? I overfilled the vehicle by about 9-10 qts. Yes I'm an idiot sometimes and move too fast without thinking. I turned the vehicle on and drove maybe 20 yards. It started blowing white smoke from the exhaust. I immediately turned the vehicle off and got out. I understand I need to drain the excess oil out but did I do any permanent damage?
- What is a good mileage to look for in a Honda Civic, Scion xB, and Toyota Prius to be used for a few years without too many problems? I'm looking at the above mentioned cars to be used for 1-3 years, but I do not know the mileage to look for. I d like to know the milage lifetime for each car mentioned, and approximately at how many miles the car will survive without having consistent problems. If you could give me the answer for each kind of car, or even one of them it would be greatly appreciated.
- What could cause a Honda civic 2000 to waste too much gas? I already fixed and replaced the following: Spark plugs Oil change Wheel alignment / chamber fix (what is this?) New tires This is a hatchback and the car is very fast in automatic. How could I figure this out?
- Is $6,800 too much for a 2008 Honda Civic? Can the price be talked down to $4,500? The car has 130K miles on it and it's excellent condition.
