I currently drive a Honda Civic. I need something higher stuck between Honda H-RV or Jeep Cherokee. Any advice will be helpful?

Jeep Cherokee, Mazda CX-5, or Honda CR-v? I've been racking my brain trying to figure which car to buy. Honda been having quality issues lately. And I never hear anything about Mazda. Which one should I go for? I'll be taking road trips and I commute to go to school.

Is the new Jeep Cherokee good off road? Specifically the base Sport model with FWD. I know it's not gonna be rock crawling or mud bogging, but with a good set of all terrains, could it handle occasional dirt roads/trails/wet grass? Do the base models have under body protection? I mean I could just buy a Honda CR-V or Toyota Rav4 if it's at the same level. What about a Cherokee sport with 4WD? Would it be any better?
