Is 150,000 miles bad on a Honda Civic?
My father is giving me his old car that is 2007. I don't know much about Hondas, but I heard they have good mileage. He doesn't drive hard on it at all and hates reviving the engine. Is that good?
Yeah
If it's been well cared for and serviced regularly it should be good for a lot more miles. It might need a few routine parts replaced, but that's normal for any older car.
Anyway, the saying is "don't look a gift horse in the mouth". Means that if someone is giving you a car or a horse, don't worry how old it is. Even if it breaks down in a couple of years, it was free, so you have gotten a good deal.
Any car today will go 200K w/o even trying
if the car is given to you, who cares if it quits on you in 10K miles, It was free
Hi so he went for a part exchange they told him it was worth nothing so you got it.
Thank him as Hondas are good cars. It will do another 50,000 miles if you have it serviced as recommended.
That's around when certain things start breaking. But since it's a free car, take it and use until the repair bills get too high. Provided that it has been well maintained it should last 2-3 years.
- Would you purchase a 2004 Honda pilot for $6,000.000 that has 216,000 miles on it? I'm just browsing online looking at cars for sale and a lot of them have 200k or more miles on them and they want $4,000 or more. Why do people sale their cars for such a high price with a lot of miles on them? Its not just Hondas its all types of cars private and dealers as well
- 2008 Honda Fit with 66,000 miles on it for $5,000? Is this a good deal? I need to buy a new car and today I got an offer on a 2008 Honda Fit with 66,000 miles on it for $5,000. I'm a 19 year old girl and I know nothing about cars D: Are Honda Fits good cars? Should I buy this with so many miles already on it? Also, I like to travel. Will this car be safe to drive long distances?
- Should I buy a 2008 honda civic ex-l that has 100000 miles or a honda civic lx that has 82k miles? The honda civic ex-l has only one owner and the honda civic lx is from a dealer. They're fairly the same price
- Is 150,000 miles alot for a Honda Civic? I'm looking around to find a cheap replacement vehicle. Found a few different Honda Civics, anywhere from 1999-2004, with around 130-150k miles. Price is anywhere ranging from $1500-4500. Are these cars good buys? I've driven Corollas and I just don't like them. I want something reliable and cheap to run. I can live with a few small bugs here and there, as long as the car drives smoothly.
