Is 2004 Hyundai Sonata V6 too much for first time teenage driver?

I recently bought 2004 Hyundai Sonata for $3000 (with my money that I earned by working at little caesars)
It is my first car and is my first year driving (yes, I did all driver's training and such).
All my friends have small cars like Toyota Corolla, VW Jetta, and Honda Civics.
I'm aware that my car eats much more cars than my friends cars.
Is my car way too much for me to handle?
Should I sell my car and get a different one?

Congrats on the car purchase! Personally, I think you'll be just fine. The power of the car isn't as important as the person driving. If you are responsible and safe, you won't have anything to worry about.

It's perfect for you. Especially if your car eats other cars. That's awesome.

Teenage boys do have trouble with accidents which causes havoc with insurance rates and credit ratings. That said only you know whether you will be tempted to take a foolish risk. If you can be sure you will not then keep what you have.

Provided you drive responsibly (don't do reckless things with the V6 power) and have a large enough income from your part time job to keep the car running, you are all set. Have fun with your first car which will probably be the best car you ever had when you look back 20 years later.

Take it in for a new cam belt and see if you can pay for it.

Are you talking about GAS MILEAGE here! A V6 will eat more gas than a SUPER FOUR BANGER like in the JETTA or TOYOTA cars, but the HYUNDAI engine is pretty reliable! I would get a VW or TOYOTA any day of the week, or a GREAT USED AUDI CAR that will NEVER RUST and gets EXCEPTIONAL mileage!

Since you already own it, just keep it. The extra cost in gas will not be that much if you drive reasonably.
