Is It a good Idea to lower the suspension of my car?
I'm thinking of lowering the suspension of my 2005 Honda Civic Ex Special Edition. Only reason why, is because I really dislike how the car is kinda sitting a bit too high for my liking. I want it shorter, but i feel like it'll be too low and would be scraping against the ground or if I tried to go over a bump or something… It would **** my car up… Which idea is best? Lower the car? Or just keep it the way it is?
Do you have trouble with a 4 inch ground clearance?
Seeing as my stock Prius scrapes on some speed bumps already, lowering a Civic seems crazy to me unless you have hydraulic lifters and can adjust it to road conditions.
Scraping over bumps will be the least of your worries if you lower it. Lowering changes the entire geometry causing much faster suspension wear, longer braking distances, and worse ride. Dumbest idea ever.
Leave it alone! The factory set the height the way it's suppose to be! Fooling around could throw it out of alignment and besides you have to adjust the headlights if you mess with it!

- Is it a good idea to get a crotch rocket as a beginner street bike? I really like the Honda CBR 600's. I've actaullu never ridden a crotch rocket. I'm 5'6 exact and 135 pounds. Would this bike be too big? I ride motocross on an RM 125 Suzuki. It's pretty tall. Anyways, am I crazy to want a crotch rocket as a beginner rider? What bike would you guys recommend? Besides a Ninja 250 because I heard you outgrow them and they don't provide much speed/power.
