Lost keys - does my car need an ELECTRONIC replacement key if i have a spare?
The spare is all metal. There aren't any electronics in it and it can start and drive car.
My car is a 2009 or 2010 honda civic.
If you are talking about the key fob remote the answer is no. Have you been able to unlock the Car and start the engine then you can drive it.
- Spare key doesn't work to unlock door electronically? I'm new to cars and my mom allowed me to borrow hers for the next two months while she's out of town. The thing is, she gave me her spare key, and the alarm won't work. The physical key unlocks the car, but I can't unlock/ lock it remotely. Any advice? The model is a Honda CRV
- My friends keep messing around with my car. They keep moving it with another Honda key, even though I have my key on me? They are still able to move it. I wanted to know if anyone can help me locate the fuel pump relay on my car. - How much does a key replacement cost from the dealership? My Honda Civic 2010 car key is very worn out, and the panic button doesn't work anymore. I know you can go to a local locksmith for cheaper and so, but I just was wondering the exact price of getting a whole new key right from the Honda dealership.
- Replaced my ignition switch but lost the key to that replacement ignition switch? I just replaced the ignition switch in my 2003 honda accord from another used 03 accord. The replacement switch obviously came with it's key. However my mechanic apparently lost the key to the replacement switch and now I'm in a rut. Not sure what to do. What are my options?
