My 1994 Honda Civic AC clutch does not engage but my AC condenser fan works?

I'm trying to figure out why my AC doesn't blow cold anymore. It has worked the whole summer fine and then one day it just went warm. The condenser fan works fine and is spinning but the AC clutch is not engaging. I tried an Autozone R134a refill kit and upon refilling the system, the compressor clutch decided to kick in all of a sudden. I refilled the freon to the green zone on the refill meter and the AC was blowing cold again. I fire her up the next day and the AC is warm again and the compressor clutch is not engaging again. What could be my problem?

Check for system has leaked out again. If the system is still full then there's a good chance that the AC clutch relay is sticking. Go to the under hood fuse box, remove the lid, turn it over and you'll see the relay which has a snow flake imprint on the lid: That's the relay.

If you need the wiring diagram, send a message and I'll add it into my answer. HTH

I think someone is messing with your car when you're not there

Look for an oily spot on the Freon lines, especially connections and around the compressor pulley- this will be your leak
