Need help choosing the right exhaust

Help! I know i need 2.5" piping but i'm having trouble choosing the right exhaust! I've never been a big fan of loud exhaust especially for the hondas and how adding an after market exhaust makes them sound. With that said I currently just finished rebuilding the engine with new forged internals and a mini me swap as well as adding a t3t4 turbo its for a 2000 honda covic but i can't seem to find an exhaust kit that keeps the sound low and not overbearing! This is for a sleeper civic.

If You have installed turbo, then as starter use straight pipe, it may be a bit louder, but the turbo is working like silencer. Straight pipe is for gases to quickly escape so no power loss on pipe side.

A custom exhaust shop can pretty quickly walk you through this. No need to ask us. Seems you need something like old school V8's used. Back then I used 2 1/4 pipes with as long a straight cherry bomb/smitty's as possible. Quiet idle, deep burble till opened up.

  • Motorcycle exhaust gasket need replaced? I just put anew aftermarket exhaust on my 2004 Honda Shadow Aero 750 (vt750c) I replaced the exhaust gaskets. I have rode it twice since and noticed a leak where the front exhaust bolts to the head. The question is when I take the exhaust back off and put it back on to try and fix the leak will the new gasket still be good or should I replace it?
  • I need to find a part for my Honda ex1000 generator. I can't seem to find a part for a reasonable price or even the right part I have a Honda Generator and I need to buy a carburetor. I can find a lot of different ones online but I only find One for the Model I have. It is 80 bucks. I see a lot that look the same and I would like to know how to find one that is cheaper. I have looked for hours and can't find one that is cheap like the others. The part number is 16100-ZC0-015. Does anyone know how I can find a variety to choose from or do I need to get the honda brand carb?
  • Exhaust help NA at high rpm? I have a 1993 honda prelude with a h22 type r head that revs to 8200 rpm. I have a Cold air intake in the fender and headers, the rest of the exhaust is stock and at around 7100 rpm i notice a lack in power. would a naturally aspirated motor help with a stright pipe the rest of the way or does backpressure need to be their as their are no turbo?
