Let's hope it is just a bad oil pressure sending unit.
The next likely possibility is that the problem is related to something the mechanic did. I hate to say it but that is a distinct possibility. Either because the mechanic unknowingly did something wrong, or deliberately did something in an effort to get you back in the shop. It happens.
Over the years I've caught mechanics/managers at Amoco, Sears, Tire Kingdom, Gatto's and others guilty of such behavior.
Take the car to another shop. Don't tell them about the oil change. Let them have a chance to make an unbiased diagnosis.
In the future take pictures before you take your car to a shop.

It is leaking from the exhaust manifold. You need a new manifold gasket.
Check the dipstick first and see if it is overserviced.

Have you checked the oil level first thing in the morning?
i suspect the engine is overfilled with oil and its getting
past the piston rings and into the exhaust manifold
if that be so then loosen the drain plug and let out the excess

Sounds like the seller cleaned the engine before you saw and evaluated the car to hide the oil leak. Or Midas may have done something in that area (I doubt it, though).
