Recommended Tire and wheel size for 2008 Honda Civic?
So I plan on make a rim change. See right I have stock rims that are 15x6 and the tire size is 195/65 bolt size 5x114.3. I need a new look on my car so I'm stuck between buying these 15x7 rims and these 16x7 rims. I would like to know the recommended tire size for each rim.
Needed tire size is not only based on the rim size but the specific year, make and model of automobile as well. From your Civic description I'm assuming you have the DX trim level. If you wish to go with a different set of 15 inch rims that are 7 inches wide you would still use the same size tires, 195/60-15. This being so because a 195/60-15 sized tire has a rim width range of 5.5 to 7 inches. However, if you did want to go with a 16 inch tire and rim combo you would want 16x7 rims with 205/55-16 sized tires. Whichever size you choose be sure you are only hunting for rims with an offset of 40mm.
If you stay with the stock 15" wheel diameter you stay with the stock tire size. But that would be pointless.
If you upgrade to 16" wheels the very obvious choice is a tire in P205/55R16 89H or 205/55R16 91H.
- Punctured tire replacement - can I replace only 1 tire - is it safe to replace the PUNCTURED tire only? My 2005 Honda Pilot rear left tire was punctured near the threshhold (ie - sidewall), but still usable. Thus the tire dealer patched it only. Should I replace that punctured tire only? Or should I replace the 2 tires on the same axle? Or even buy a whole set of 4 tires? I'm concerned about safety, and thus your best advice is very appreciated.
- Honda Shadow Aero, Recommended tire pressure? I have a 2007 Honda Shadow Aero 750, What is the recommended tire pressure for this? It shows I have 10 psi in the front which looks to be impossible. Because it is not flat or even close when parked and when sat on. (I'm 300 pounds, I think it would droop. And the back says I have 25. How much do I need?
- Wheel and tire troubles on 1995 Honda LX sedan? I have a 1995 Honda LX sedan (new to me) It currently has 14" wheels and tires but i have 13" winter wheels and tires. I've looked at a lot of different sources and i've heard a lot of mixed info good and bad. If anyone knows if these winter wheels and tires will fit on this car, please let me know. I live in minnesota and time is running out
- What tire size will fit 2013 honda civic EX-L on 17 inch wheels while maintaining the stock height? I currently have 16 inch stock rims with 205/55R16 tires and I recently ordered a 17" rims for my car, but I still have trouble figuring out what wheels would fit those rims so that I can still keep the stock height and not have any gap in between or rub my fenders!
