Should I get a 2012 Ford Focus Hatch ($12,200 25,000 miles) or a 2011 Jeep Patriot FWD ($13,500 48,000 miles)?
I know that one is a compact hatch, and the other is a small SUV but based on what I need it for what do you think I should get? Both have heated seats, heated mirrors, and all weather mats.
(test drove both cars, can't decide)
This is what I want in my car-
(1) good reliability, I'm planning on going 150,000 miles and up. Went 220,000 in my Honda civic only with regular maintenance.
(2) good gas mileage, I know the focus is better but if the reliability or interior of the patriot is better then I would get that.
Added (1). I fish, have a german shepherd, ski, mountain bike, road bike, so i need a vehicle with a hatch.
Personally, I like the 2011 Jeep Patriot!
Good Luck making your choice.

- What is the difference between 200 amp and 500 amp in jump start cable? So if i'm driving a perodua viva (1000 cc) malaysia car, is 200 amp enough? what if the other car is a much bigger car use to jump start my car say for example honda or toyota?
- Is the 1985 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft compatible with the 86-2001 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft? I have a 1985 CR 500 and the water pump gear shaft broke. It has been discontinued from Honda, and no one else has it. It is a metal gear. The one's for the 1986-2001 CR 500 are plastic. If I have to use plastic, I will. However, I prefer not to. If anyone knows where I can get the OEM 1985 Honda CR 500 gear shaft, I would forever be grateful.
- Can I swap stereos between a '98 Honda Accord and an '01 Ford Focus? I have a stereo for a 1998 Honda accord that I no longer use. Would it fit in a 2001 ford focus that has no stereo? A fit guide says the Honda takes a Corporate Panel size, and the Ford takes a Corporate Double Din. Both have an 8" depth. Is the stereo completely incompatible; or will the issue be merely cosmetic?
- Is 200,000+ miles too many to consider for a used Honda, Toyota, etc? I have been trying to find something like an Accord, Civic, Corolla, or Camry for $3000 or less. Something reliable to get me around town within 30 mile drives. Many in this range have 220,000 or so miles, though I have found 1 or 2 with high 100's. Is the 200k miles a psychological barrier or should I even consider a car with such high mileage?
