Supercharged on 9 compression?

How much psi can i run on lower compression (9 compression), yes i know most the time higher psi on lower compression but can someone give me a good number of psi of what i can be looking at? No i'm not trying to make an insane drag car so i'm not looking for 30 psi, and yes i know i can make more power out of an actual turbocharged setup. I'm wanting to do a supercharged instead. Its going on a b16 in a honda civic, it is fully built (all valvetrain, briancrower crank, cams, 550cc RC injectors, you name it) i hope this list helps out alittle bit, thanks in advance

As you play with cams, it effects how effective each psi of boost is.
No reason you can't support 6-8 PSI with the right tune, spark plugs, on street gas.

  • 1972 HONDA MOTORCYCLE COMPRESSION PROBLEM? I'm looking to buy a 1972 Honda CL350 and it has low compression…60psi in the left and none in the right. The guy I'm purchasing from said he was in the process of a rebuild and replaced the piston rings and seals. He said he purchased it running but it has not run in about 2-3 years. What could be causing the low compression? I realize it could be multiple things but what would be a ballpark figure be $$$-wise to fix?

  • I have a 99 honda civic si I did a compression test and suspect it has low compression because of misfire? So the first one came out as.180. Second one 180… Third piston 160… And the last final piston as…180 are my pistons good? Don't mean to sound like a rookie.
  • Car compression issues valve 3 and 4? I took my 2000 Honda Accord to a mechanic and they called back asking when the timing belt was changed and I said I don't know because I bought it as a used car recently and they said it could be a blown head gasket because they did a compression test and valve 3 and 4 ( or there were issues when switching from gear three to four )have issues. I don't really speak car so can someone explain what are valves, how does this all correlate.
