What's a good first car for a guy?

I have been saving to buy an automatic transmission car. My price range is between $3000-3500. I'd like a good looking car that's not too old. Just want some ideas of cars to look at. So far i really like the toyota corolla s and the honda civic. I like sporty looking cars but most of the good ones seem to be out of my price range. Any advice is appreciated thanks!

A Civic or Corolla would be a very wise choice. Within that price range either would still have potential to be dependable and reliable. Shop for Hondas and Toyotas that the seller can show your proof of service and maintenance receipts, you don't what a car that has mysteries. With your budget, you are looking for something that won't fall apart all of a sudden. See if you can find a Civic Si. Lamborghini. 04 Deville Its tough in that price range. Id look for a mazda 3 or 6.

Problem is, even high mileage cars go for a lot.

Unless you want to go American. If it was me I'd go with the corolla hands down. Civics are abused like crazy specially if its owned by a young guy even well in his 30s. Btw hopefully the corolla was owned by a lady or an older folk-60+ years old.
anything that has a sporty exhaust, cold air intake, or anything non oem as in sporty or performance will be abused regardless if its an old chevy cavalier. For only $3000-$3500 you can't get a car that is "not too old." For that little money you can get a older car with lots of miles, and possibly lots of problems.

  • What is a good beginner bike for a big guy? What would be a good touring, cruiser type starter bike for a big guy. I'm a 400 pound guy and am looking for a great starter/cruiser bike. I have looked at a honda shadow 650, or a vulcan 800, but am unsure of how powerful they actually are and if i can even handle it.
  • Good beginner motorcycle for a 6 foot 2 guy? I'm looking at getting a motorcycle. I've looked at the common bikes for beginners such as the Yamaha V Star 250 and the Honda Rebel 250. Though I've read that if you are tall, those bikes aren t a good choice. I'm looking for something relatively cheap and preferably around 250cc (I understand I may have to higher the cc amount since I'm tall). Please give me some suggestions!
  • Is a BMW E30 90-91 a good first car/ project car? I'm looking into getting my first car but also want something to build up and make my own. So far i want a rwd import. No Hondas. Any suggestions?
  • Is honda civic a guy or girl car? I wanted to get a honda civic but my sister said people would make fun of me cause its a girl car. So is it a guy or girl car?
