What's the best Distributor cap and rotor for a 1997 Honda Civic EX?
I have to do a tune-up pretty soon for my Honda. I was recommended NGK spark plugs and wires but not the cap and rotor. I'm sure the OEM is ideal but if there's a company that makes caps and rotors much more efficient than OEM then I want to get those to go along with the NGKs. So my question is that is there a company that specializes in Caps and Rotors like NGK is with spark plugs and wires?

NGKs are NOT as good as DENSO PLUGS and DENSO supplies most of HONDA and TOYOTA caps and rotors! SEt a DENSO next to an NGK and compare QUALITY! Use BOSCH or DENSO iridium plugs ONLY! Or TWIN TIP denso plugs! BE SURE that you clean the DISTRIBUTOR windings inside with BRAKE CLEANER< chlorinated spray! HONDA did NOT scrimp on ignition parts in ANY year! FACTORY parts lasted for 100k miles and MORE< right? READ your CAP for LOGO of maker! DO NOT replace wires unless they are LEAKING sparks! GENUINE HONDA wires last the LIFETIME of your car! Take $20-40 to an OIL CHANGE PLACE and have your throttle body and IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE cleaned up to SHOWROOM clean! Here is where the AIR/FUEL mixture is FINE TUNED! POWER WASH engine with GUNK ORANGE! STOP[ using CHEAP oil! Use MOBIL ONE 0W_30 or FACTORY ENEOS oil from JAPAN refinery! NO VALVOLINE and NO Prestone ever in HONDA!
- Sometimes the car does not stop when I brake but it feels like it's hard to stop, is this a rotor issue I'm afraid I will rear end someone? It happens every once a while I'll press the brakes and it won't stop like a jumpy feeling is this rotorsrelated? 2001 Honda Passport
- Will any honda civic cap fit my 1996 model? I stupidly left my petrol cap on top of my car and then it fell off and got run over on the way home. I'm looking for a new one but the market is baffling me. Is there a one size fits all for civics? Or do I need a specific one for my car?
- Could it be my distributor? 1989 Honda Integra? So I went to start my car and it wouldn't start, it sounded like it wanted to but wasn't getting spark. After checking the spark plugs and leads I narrowed it down to the distributor as the points look really worn down. Could this be what's causing my car to not start? The engines all factory b16a
