Which way do i turn to loosen the torque converter nut on a 2005 Honda Civic? - 1
The torque converter bolts go the same way as the rest of the transmission bolts, left to loosen and right to tighten
What's a torque converter nut? Almost All fasteners on an automobile are "right hand" threads. That means facing the fastener, you turn it clockwise to tighten it, or counterclockwise to loosen it.
Some cars have "left hand" threads on the lefts side wheel studs. The last place I saw a left hand fastener, was on a Ford serpentine belt tensioner pulley. That's so you can turn the tensioner against its spring to change the belt, without loosening the fastener.

- P0741 - Torque Converter CKT Performance Or Stuck Off? - 1 I just bought a used 2005 Honda Pilot, about 100 000 miles, and the same day the check engine light came on. I got a code reader and I get the code: P0741 - Torque Converter CKT Performance Or Stuck Off. The car drives fine, so I can't see anything wrong other than the yellow check engine light. What would that be? What should I do?
