Why does the Honda Civic Si have such a high resale value?
What is so good about those cars? I mean, I have seen very very few of them when I drive around. I guess they aren't as popular, but yet they are expensive for later models? I really don't know…
I have had mine for 14 yrs, i have only replaced tires, batter and windshield wipers
Because they are super-reliable Hondas. People buy them BECAUSE they maintain high resale and trade values, which lowers their cost of ownership.
Dependability, fun to drive, and they are they are quick. For example a 2006 Honda Civic EX has 140 h.p. & 128 ft/lbs of torque whereas a 2006 Honda Civic Si has 197 h.p and 139 lb/ft of torque. That extra 57 h.p. Makes a world of difference in how the car performs. The Si stands for Sport Injected. The Si also has a limited slip differential, sport tuned suspension, and better brakes, better sound system, and more options. All in all it is a sportier and nicer car to drive. It is basically a little factory hot rod. They were expensive when new and that is why you see very few on the used car market. They also hold their value extremely well.
They are reliable and cheap to maintain. And the market values them perhaps excessively.
- What is the resale price of Honda Unicorn? I need to sell my Honda Unicorn bike in Bangalore. It is 2010 made but done only 10,000 kms. I have all the papers and the bike is in excellent condition. Also to sell my bike what procedure do i need to follow?
- Hyundai Low resale value? Why do Hyundai/Kia have such low resale value? They have nice warranties from what I can see and the reliability has gotten a whole lot better compared to 10 or so years ago. (A little better under Toyota and Honda better) I can find a 2011 Hyundai Sonata GLS in my area for less than $9,000! Do people still think these cars are poorly made still?
- What impact does a rebuilt transmission and a new catalytic coverter have on car resale value? I have a 2000 Honda CRV with 195,000 miles that is in impeccable condition mechanically and cosmetically, with these recent repairs how much could i hike up the price for if i really wanted to sell it
- Is there such thing as aftermarket motors for classic 92-92 civic? What I mean is are there people still creating new motors that are not directly from honda for the classic civics?
