Will the Car Auto Body bring back my car to exactly how it looked like before the accident?

I've had a 2014 honda civic ex coupe for just 3 months and It was rear ended then hit on the back side of the driver side just behind the door and has a big dent with paint that came off and some from the other car. On the back of the car the bumper fell off and the damage didn't look so bad. At first when I took my car to the shop, they said that the cosmetic damage done to the car added up to $4102. I called back a few days later asking how the car was and they then told me the car had additional problems and that $4k jumped to $9,000 in damages. They said they will give me a list full of exactly what problems the car had when I get the car back but I'm worried that because the damages were so costly, my car may end up being screwed up in the future. Do you think the auto body shop will be able to get it to exactly how it was before the accident, and if not, is there something I can do about it?

Nothing you can do, if you're fussy like me you will always be able to see the difference in paint color and fit. If you know you won't be happy and the damage is enough to be close to a write off you may be able to tell your insurance company that you'll only be happy if it's perfect and to avoid the headache they might just write it off and pay you off… Usually less than it's worth.

YOU are the customer. Tell the body shop you want a list of repairs BEFORE the work is done IE you want a QUOTE for the complete repair before it is done (after is just you getting screwed for anything they want to add on the bill) If they argue take the car somewhere else and don't pay them a thing as they are cowboys.
