2009 Honda Crv New Ac Compressor clutch not engaging

Here is my story. I have been having problems with my AC all summer. I was told I needed a new compressor and condenser. I purchased a spectro (made in China) compressor and condenser. The compressor was engaging on and off continuously and the car was vibrating so I had to return it after two months. I then bought a used Honda compressor and the clutch was skipping while spinning. Finally I surrendered and bought a NEW Honda compressor. The compressor does not come with coil and clutch assembly so I had to purchase them separately. I put them together as shown in the diagram, filled the compressor with 80ML of PAG 46 oil and installed the coil and clutch as shown. Today, I went to my mechanic to put Freon in the system, but the clutch was not engaging. It was not spinning at all. There's power going into the compressor and the compressor is working, just not the clutch. Could I have installed the clutch assembly incorrectly? Is there a certain procedure that I had to follow? Get a Subaru

There's a low pressure switch in the system that keeps the compressor from kicking in if it losses pressure. Usually need to bypass the switch to get the compressor to take Freon for the first time. By the way, did you do an evac of the system before you tried to put Freon in. It should hold a vacuum first of all. How about a new dryer, and what ever that system uses for an expansion valve or orifice tube?

  • NEED GO CART CONVERTED FROM BELT CLUTCH TO CHAIN DRIVEN CLUTCH? I have a 2 seated carter go cart with a 5.5 Honda motor and is belt driven. I'm wanting to convert it to a chain driven system but need to know how. The frame is chain driven but the clutch is belt driven how do I convert the clutch to a chain drive system.
  • Choke not engaging in Honda Rebel 450? I have an 86 Honda Rebel 450. Bike runs great however the choke switch does not engage at all. I can start the bike ifif I manually pull the choke up on the carbs, but the choke switch does nothing at all. Any idea what to do?

  • Honda CRV 2000, what's wrong? Clutch system retains pressure? I have a problem with my clutch hydraulic system, the system keeps pressure each time you press the pedal, eventually the clutch remains pressed and the pedal stays very hard. If you open the bleed valve on the slave cylinder, everything reset. But the problem is back again after less than an hour.
