Should I buy a used 02 Honda CRV EX or 03 Nissan Murano SL?

Trying to figure out which would be more reliable. Both are used. Honda has 145k and Nissan has 133k.

Hi

YES

Neither will be reliable. They are too old.

Honda

I would never sit in a nissan. Rather walk. Either way, take the car to qualified/reputable mechanic. Explain to them you are considering a purchase. Pay $100 for them to analyze the vehicle.

At that age and mileage either of them could turn out to be the most reliable

The latter

YES

I suggest the Murano. I had one. I ran it until it had 257,000 miles. At that point the body was trash but it still ran well. I used synthetic motor and changed the oil only once a year.

Chiming in with my 25 years as a mechanic. CR-V is the better choice the Murrano "can" be a money pit. Also if in a snowy climate the CR-V is awesome in snow with a good set of snow tires.

  • 2005 Nissan Murano vs 2006 Honda Pilot? Found two SUV s I'm considering. 2005 Nissan Murano SL with 115k miles, they are asking $5,500. AND 2006 Honda Pilot EX with 122K miles they are asking $6,500. Like the thought of spending less on the Murano for lower miles, but Pilot has a lot of upsides I like also. Need Car peoples thoughts! Go!
  • I have a 1998 Honda CRV with 240 K miles. Needs $1200 of repair to pass inspection. Should i fix or buy a newer used Honda civic? Mike? I'm the original owner and have done a good job with oil changes etc. However, it needs 2 front control arms with ball joints and rear struts to pass inspection. I've also gone past my mileage on a second timing belt (first one done at 90K miles). Car body exterior and interior is in pretty good shape. Inside looks brand new. But repair cost at 1200 + timing belt ~500 =~1700 in repars. Is it time for a newer used auto.
  • Should I buy a 2005 Honda or 1999 Nissan? I'm torn between which used car to buy. The 2005 Honda Civic Si has 250000 km and the 1999 Nissan Sentra has 110000 km. Both have been inspected and passed safety/e-test. Same price. Which is better?
  • Nissan Altima (2015) vs Toyota Camry (2014.5) vs Nissan Sentra (2015). Which is best ride on the market now? I'm looking to buy a new car 0.0% financing and these are the only companies that offer 0.0% financing on new and old cars. ( i know honda civic is great but they offer 0.9% finance). I want a car that is a smooth ride, fuel effecient and car that will last me a long time. Overall, a good car. These are my top three cars NISSAN ALTIMA, TOYOTA CAMRY and NISSAN SENTRA? which one do you guys think is the best? i'm open to suggestions…
