2005 Nissan Murano vs 2006 Honda Pilot?
Found two SUV s I'm considering.
2005 Nissan Murano SL with 115k miles, they are asking $5,500. AND
2006 Honda Pilot EX with 122K miles they are asking $6,500.
Like the thought of spending less on the Murano for lower miles, but Pilot has a lot of upsides I like also. Need Car peoples thoughts! Go!
Both are average choices but out of the two I would pick the Honda. The Nissan should have the CVT transmission. Those are known to have problems and are very expensive to fix.
The problem with either is if the motor or transmission goes out, you're looking at a $3500 rebuild.
Do you have that set aside?
Get the Honda for sure. It will easily make it to 200,000 miles with no major repairs if it has been service regularly.
- What is pilot sales? I have heard that Honda did pilot sales of HR-V in the US I do not live in the US? So I do not know what does it mean. I'm taking about the following article: http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2015/08/10/2016-pilot-could-place-honda-among-the-chart-toppe.aspx
- My key won't program for a Honda Pilot 2005? I bought a key from amazon and want to program it to my 2005 Honda pilot. I've tried doing the ignition sequence but the green security flight flashes when I'm done and the engine rolls but won't turn on. What do I do?
- 2006 Honda Pilot oil stick showing low oil? The car has absolutely no obvious leaks and its not burning oil we bought a new stick and changed the oil but yet it's still (stick only) showing as low oil, what could be the issue? Is the stick (bought new one from dealership ) the issue or can it be leaking out somewhere that's not in plain view? I'm taking it to mechanic next week but I'm trying to see if I could get Tips Here first. The car runs perfectly fine, no obvious issues.
- Should I buy a used 02 Honda CRV EX or 03 Nissan Murano SL? Trying to figure out which would be more reliable. Both are used. Honda has 145k and Nissan has 133k.
