Dispute with Honda Dealer?
Dispute with Honda Dealer? - 1
Added (1). I took my car two weeks ago to Honda Dealer for maintenance. They recommended oil changel, steering wheel fluid, and transmission fluid. I made an appointment and did the service. When I picked up my car I noticed noise in my transmission. They told me drive it for a day and will disappear if not bring it and we will fix it. Now they are telling me that I need a new transmission. I'm thinking about filing a claim for damaging my car and not willing to fix or pay for it. Anyidea?
A used 2004 vehicle might not have the coverage that a Newer vehicle would have. Honda Corp might not even be interested in a used vehicle over 10 years old.
If you bought the car (most likely) "As Is" there's no warranty involved.
You could contact the State department of motor vehicles, licensing office.

As a repair shop owner. I can give you one advice: Forget about it. Dealer daily operation bases on a guideline and they have an army of lawyers standing by… Plus another army of professional staffing/ Technical people.
BTW: I can smell too: Look like a trap. What are you trying to do? It's a used car you've just bough with the transmission problem was already there.
You're not going to like what I'm going to say. Even repair shop like mine has the technologies and know some labs can do the old fluid analysis when we send the sample in for the lab to do. Been there done that and we send in old engine oil, old transmission fluid samples to the lab on all fluid changing, fluid flushing etc. And it is on every car that had such services.
The thing is: Such services from those Labs does not cost much on a monthly basic for all samples and it is valid in the court of laws. The repair order and what's recorded on it is another concreted evidence.
You think you have the upper hand… Sorry Pal. For busting your… Bubbles.
- Dealer told me it was a Honda Certified pre-owned car, but I never received anything from Honda saying so? What should i do? The car now needs repairs and the dealer lied to me about the certification. Do I have any rights?
- I bought a used car from the dealer 2008 honda civic si, did i pay to much? I paid 16k and opted for 220 a month payments. the car has 35000 miles on it. Its standard, with navigational system, sunroof, power window. I'm asking becaue i have people telling me its worth way less. Nada blue book seems to think so but kelly blue book says 16,700 the high mark.
- How much does it cost to repair a Hydraulic Clutch for a 2008 Honda Civic at the dealer? The check engine light on my car recently went on so I went to Auto Zone so they could check it out. Turns out, the "Hydraulic Clutch" was what turned the check engine light on. On average, how much would it cost if I took it to the Honda dealer so they could fix it? My car is a 2008 Honda Civic Dx with a 1.8L engine.
- 1995 Honda Civic by DEALER? It has 114k miles on it. I did the autocheck and it has pretty good history on it (one owner, no accident, no problems reported). The dealer asking for $2,500. I understand that dealership sell it more expensive. So my question is, do you guys think it will be a good buy?
