Moving to Tennessee from Miami, what should I know?

My girlfriend and I are moving to Knoxville Tennessee from Miami, fl. We're planning the trip for February, we will be 21. Our Main Reason is for cheap living, school and just getting away. It will be the first time we move out of our parents home. We already looked into U-Haul, we're going with the 5x9 trailer. We're gonna be using my 97 Honda Civic, gonna need to install a tow hitch as well. We're planning on only bringing her queen bed and mattress set with our 150cc scooter along with two 40 gallon tanks from our bearded dragons. That's all that's going in the trailer if more room is available were putting boxes of clothes. In my trunk I'm putting in boxes of clothes whatever it can fit really. If necessary I could tie something to the roof of my car. In my backseat is going be our two Dogs and front seat is us two. We're gonna make a few stops along the way to let the car cool off and eat, restroom etc.
I wanted to know things like:
What should I be expecting along the way?
What kind of weather conditions will I be faced with? Were planning to leave in the morning.
What would be the best method for driving there?
Where should be the best place to live in Knoxville?
What kind of major State Laws should I know about?
any other information on the state is appreciated! Even if it's just resident humor or habits or funny words to know. Like there's no lunch just dinner and super lol.

  • Renting car, moving away? I'm renting a car in South Carolina from Stokes Honda, but I'm moving to LA in December. How do I get it registered to California?
  • Any tips before I leave to Nashville, Tennessee? Tips for saving gas, being comfortable with 7 annoying people, and how to sleep nice in a SUV? (Honda Pilot 2011)
  • Moving to LA for 3.5 months. Would I need to get car smog checked there? I heard LA has a high emission standards and I'm moving there for 3.5 months for school. I'm bringing my car there and I'm wondering do I need to get my vehicle checked for emissions? I have a 2014 Honda CR-V. There's not point in bringing my car there if I can't even drive it there.
  • Why is my car moving very slow on uphill? Honda civic 1.4 2000 manual problem, car is terribly slow on uphill only. I must stop and allow others to overtake as a result of this problem. I have taken to many garage and their predictions were contradicted. However no one told me exactly what is the cause.
