My car hit the curb from the bottom and now started making a loud vibration?

I own a 2013 Honda Fit and just recently I hit a curb from the bottom and after that my car started making a loud vibration sound whenever I start up my car or press the gas pedal. Yes I know it was my fault because I was parked and was ready to leave but did not see a curb I front of me so I drove forward and that's where i knew I messed up. Back to the problem, I had my brother checked it out for me and he said that I bent a metal frame on the bottom of my car and he won't be able to fix it cause he don't have tools. I want to take it in to the shop to fix it but wouldn't know how much it would be or know what the problem is. I don't know much about cars so what could have happened to my car?

Your brother already told you what it is. Take it to the shop and have them check it out. At least they can tell you what the problem is for sure and about how much it will cost to fix. And drive more carefully!

Your brother has had the chance to take a direct look at the damage and to tell you what he's seen. So you already know what the fault is, but there may be additional damage which a repair shop will be able to identify.

Because the full extent of the damage has not yet been assessed, nobody can give you any worthwhile estimate of the repair costs. You'll get those from the repair shops you take the car to for assessment. Even then, any repair shop estimate can be inaccurate as fully assessing the damage involves workshop time and labour which they don't usually give for free estimates.

Until then, don't use your car as it may be in a dangerously unroadworthy condition. Although if your brother is competent and has a different opinion then go by his advice, but drive gently.

If your insurance covers damage to your own car then let them take care of it: they will likely even collect the car on a low-loader so that saves you the risks and time of driving it to different repair shops.

Your brother already told you what happened… Something bent. Time to take it to a qualified shop for inspection and repair.

Insurance time lol

Probably bent a tie rod or and the lower control arm.

Could be you broke a motor mount?

You probably crushed the oil pan underneath the car for the engine. It's going to be around $500 to get a new one.

  • Honda Civic making weird noise while turning after running over a curb? I have a 2010 honda civic and I ran over a curb the other night and it made a pretty bad sound but nothing was hanging and it drove just fine. But now, 3 days later, its making a weird noise when I turn. Wondering what it could be?
  • Car sputtered and died when I started it? I have a 2002 Honda civic. I've been having a problem where when I start it, it'll stutter for like 2 seconds and then start. This was happening for two weeks but when I was planning to go to school it would stutter and not start. What's the problem?
  • AC making loud vibration and revolving noise on 2002 honda civic lx? The noise doesn't always happen when the ac is on but it does for most of the time. It happens more loudly than normal and more often than normal whem I've been driving the car a lot that day. What could be making this noise? The compressor? I just replaced front and rear sway bar links, outer passenger tie rod, and exhaust manifold.
  • 95 Honda civic, just started to put and engine would shake every time I accelerate and when AC is on? Yesterday my car drove perfect then today I started it and just when I got on the road it started to shake so I turned off the AC. Then it ran better but once I give it gas it starts to shake again, but if I'm not in gear I can rev it up and there's no shaking just sounds like it runs great. Anyone know what could be causing this problem?
