What do I need to buy for a booming system in my car?

I just got a new 2013 Honda Civic 4 door. I want to put an audio system in that will make my car "bump" while I'm driving. I don't know what subs/amps I should buy at an affordable price that will be compatible and fit in my car. Also, do I have to buy new speakers also? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I kept my stock headunit and bough 2 12" kickers with an amp for 150$ off craigslist. They have an audio wiring kit at autozone for 25$ Just look on Craigslist or amazon

Simple, cheap sub? Alpine type r 12. That will shake your car quite a bit and they are like $120.

You can just add an amplified booming sub, if you like, keep the stock and keep the cost a the minimum.

For best sound, everything must be replaced, new head unit, new speakers, additional amps, and new subs.

Since you don't know much, I can't recommend you to do it yourself. Even if I suggest specific stereo equipment.

Try to go to Best Buy, their prices and installation services is good enough. They can customize your car's audio system.

There are a lot of small car audio shops that can do this, but you need to know what you want and how you want it installed, or otherwise they may take advantage of you and make you pay for parts or services that you don't really need. They won't do that at Best Buy.
