I need to buy a new-used car?
Not too old or with too many miles.Thinking about Toyota or Honda. Does anyone have any other ides?
I'd like to keep it under $16,000 if possible.
Honda and Toyota are good choices but also look at Mazda, such as the Mazda3 or Mazda6.
My idea is anything but a Toyota. I love my Subaru, hated my Ford, loved my Pontiac. Owned older Honda's because they make great race engines and likewise in their cars. My BMW was great to drive, but need a **** ton of work by 125,000 miles. My daughter's Corolla burned oil like no tomorrow, lot's of plastic bits broke and it was a boring slug of a car.

Both Toyota and Honda are good ideas. Subaru makes a good car, but their dealerships are not as common. Kia and Hyundai have been good in recent years, but while their warranties sound good, some dealerships seem to handle service issues better than others
I would go for a toyota but try to avoid the cvt tranmssion. Get a camry or rav4.
Toyota or Honda.
I watch John Cadogan on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/...an+reviews
Yes, he is Australian and he deals with cars that come into Australia but the brands are the same makes you know. So if he recommends Toy, or Mazda, or Subaru or other & avoids others (which he also names) the companies have a "quality trend" that remains the same no matter what country the car is shipped to. The only difference would be the MODELS.
If Toyota builds a good car for one country they will for any other country, because that is what they Normally do.
IMO. At least he says it like it is, in his opinion. He is an automotive engineer./mechanic/writer
- Is it possible to trade in a used car for another used car? I bought a 2013 Toyota Yaris about 4 months ago. I bought mainly because it was cheap and fuel efficient. But I realized I don't really like. So I'm have buyers remorse. Is it possible to trade it in for another used car? I was thinking of getting a Honda Civic or a Volkswagen Jetta. How long should I wait to do the trade in?
- If your car was starting to have a lot of mechanical issues (see details), would you go for repairs or buy a new or good used car? My 2002 Honda Civic is suddenly having a lot of problems - SRS dash light always on, AC doesn't work, squeaking and thumping underneath on front passenger's side and brake pedal, and passenger side mirror is loose.
- If I buy a used car (63 plate 2013/14) will I get hit by the new road tax rates? I'm looking at buying a used car (63plate Honda Civic 1.6 disel) and the road tax is free at the minute. Will the road tax go up for me if I buy it after March 31st or is it just new cars?
- How much does it cost to buy a new car and how to buy smart? I want to buy a 2014 Honda civic ex next year. The msrp is 21,880. My question is how much would the actual total cost of the car be with taxes, registration and fees, interest, etc? Also, tips and advice on how to negotiate and buy the car when I'm at the dealer would be greatly appreciated.
