How much is it to walk out of a dealership with a leased vehicle?

I have 2300. I seen a deal at honda, where you put a $29 down payment and 159 a month. Is this just to draw attention, or is leasing a car really that easy? What can I expect for a total cost?

Hi this is really aimed at a business customer as at the end of lease it all has to go back and your left with nothing.

A lease is almost never a good idea. You go to the dealer, pay for the car, and in three years, you give it back. You never get any equity in the car at all. It typically costs almost double what the car costs.

There are millions and millions of dealerships. They all are independently owned and operated. YOU have to go and find out. Oh, there's no charge for information.

If you just leased a vehicle, wouldn't you be driving out of the dealership? To better answer your question, the $29 down and $159 monthly payment would be for those customers with the best credit.

In order to lease, you must be at least 18 years old, have a good steady job, have good credit, drive no more than about 12,000 miles a year, take good care of your cars, not want to modify it, not want to end the lease early --- AND understand how leasing works, which you clearly do not. Unless you qualify with All of these conditions, do not lease.

I'd rather have you buy it so it would work better for you. First of all, you should have a job in order to get paid and have enough money to buy this car.

  • What does P mean on a parking ticket where your vehicle type is written? As in: Vehicle GRY HOND P? I received a parking ticket and really can't afford to pay it! My friend told me I should look for typos on the ticket in order to contest it. On the ticket where the vehicle type is listed, the line reads: "Vehicle GRY HOND P". I do own a grey honda, but I was not sure what the P stood for? I tried to google but couldn't find anything - please help!
  • What brand new car can I walk out with $19,500? I asked a previous question about buying a Honda CR Z but that's probably out of reach so If I could walk out the door with a car for only $19,500 that'd be great. ( $15,000 loan 4% interest and $5,000 down payment) What are some suggestion? Some makes I'm interested in is Mazda, Hyundai, Honda, & Nissan. Since I've driven big trucks most I'm interested in compact cars. Maybe like a coupe or hatch back or something like a Veloster.
  • How to pay for leased car? Online? I just leased a car And forgot to ask the dealer how to pay the monthly payments. Can i pay it online somehow or do i get a bill everymonth by mail? (Honda)
  • Can I use a leased Honda CR-V as a taxi? I'm thinking about leasing a 2017 Honda CR-V and using it to drive for Uber or Lyft. Is this a good idea?
