I'm 5'9 (155 lbs). Am I too small for Honda Phantom?
Will l look too skinny or funny on a Honda Phantom?
Everyone seems to be worried about how they'll look on a motorcycle! I think that should be the LAST thing you worry about.
We're talking about the Honda Shadow Phantom, right? Cruisers have advantages for the very short or very tall or very fat. They have a lower seat and you put your legs out in front rather than to tuck them beneath, so they accommodate a wider variety of bodies. Cruisers also have a lower center of gravity so they are easier to ride, easier to handle than a 'standard', though you can't throw them into corners like you can other kinds of motorcycles.
I ride a bike and when I see other motorcycles, I'm not even looking at the rider, I'm looking at the bike! Nobody cares how you look on the bike! YOU care about how well you can handle the bike, how safe you feel, how much fun you're going to have on it!
So long as you can sit on a bike with both feet flat on the ground, it is not too big for you. They publish seat heights in the specs, but the seats are all shaped differently so the only real way to tell is to find one and sit on it!
- Would a Honda Shadow Phantom 750 be a begginer motorcycle? OK. I'm 16 years old I've bought all the nessecary gear I got that idea of watching cyclecruza's squid videos and didn't want that to happen to me. Well because I shouldn't look up to my dad who rides a Harley 1200 who only wears a helment a t shirt and just jeans. I know not to go over the speed limit but all I need to know if thus good first bike.
- What is the best sportbike/supersport bike, motorcycle, for someone 6ft2in and 195 lbs? I have been looking at Kawasaki Ninja and Honda CBR series however open to anything. What are some specifications I should look for on a bike? Wanted some opinion of fellow riders to give me some guidance. Any is greatly appreciated!
- Shadow phantom or street 750? I'm looking to upgrade from a Honda rebel which one do you think is a better overall bike and is safest for a 17 year old thanks guys
- I have a 2014 honda shadow phantom been having issues with my tail light Brake light works but the steady back light isn't working only shines when i brake electric problems maybe? Guessing it isn't connected but can't take the bolts off from the back to get to the electrical to the tail light and not coming off. Some advice on how to get it properly working would be most appreciated
