Is it normal for a 300 ex to get super hot?

Bought a 2002 honda 300ex and it gets really hot real quick is this normal?

It is normal for All modern engines to heat up quickly and level out! Use ONLY genuine HONDA COOLANT and NO PRESTONE! GO to a DIY car wash and power wash the space BEHIND the radiator where leaves, seedlings, bud bodies, feathers and FUZZ collect over years of use! You will have to remove the UPPER RAD support to get at this place! POWER WASH ENGINE with it running to get All road salt and leaking fluids from engine bay! This will protect your MOTOR and TRANS mounts from OIL ROTTING! Do NOT use VALVOLINE< use MOBIL ONE 0W-30 oil instead that makes NO sludge for you! BYE NOW! REPLACE YOUR COOLING FAN SWITCH to protect from overheating!

Geez, it's an air cooled engine. If it doesn't seize it's not too hot. Other than that how hot is really hot and how quick is real quick.

Post details.

if hot on the temp gauge, of course not normal, and that's dangerous, indicating engine could seize due to excess heat.

take action vs seller; they defrauded you; they concealed the malfunction;

I want to upgrade my hondas SOHC 1.6 ltr engine with new pistons, crankshaft, camshaft, displacement, engine head, valves and springs, cam gears, connecting rods, fuel system, and a small stage 1 turbo but the engine has 300,000 miles in it. If i upgrade it anyway, will it make the engine newer, or will i have to replace it either way?
  • Ninja 300 or Honda CBR500r for beginner? I'm looking at getting a bike and the two that interest me are the Ninja 300 and the Honda CBR500r. Just want to know what you guys would pick and why? I'm leaning towards the Ninja 300. Like the looks of it better but i'm also 6'4'' and about 175 Lbs so that may be a little small in size, motor has plenty of powerful might be a little cramped though. But anyway, what are your thoughts?
  • Kawasaki Ninja 300 or Honda Cbr300r? As a beginner I'm not sure which one to go with here. I have been riding dirt bikes in my past years so I figured the 300's would be fun to start on. I'm female relatively small, about 5'2 and 120lb. Any advice on which bike to go for? I've always liked the Honda Cbr model but can't decide if I should give the other a chance. Is there anything you do or don't like about them?
  • Am I too big for ninja 300? I'm 6'3", and I was looking at buying a ninja 300r, Honda cbr300r (when it comes out), or a honda cbr500r? A lot of my heights is my legs, and I was just wondering if I would be too tall for a ninja 300.
