Is urgent airbag recall a scam?

I've been getting these flyers nonstop for almost 2 years. Today I called my local Honda dealer to make an appointment apparently my car has 4 recalls to be repaired. However, I was a little uneasy about it since it's a free repair and who knows what they'd do with my car. The cs representative on the phone scheduled the appointment for tomorrow at 10pm a driver will come pick up my car and said will be ready next day.
is this a normal process or scam? Is urgent airbag recall a scam

It is kinda like this. You go into the Doctor for a lump and they see that you have cancer. Your next appointment will be the next day. They obviously have the part and it needs to be changed. These air bags are maiming people explaining the red ink.

No. It's not a scam*. If the dealer verifies this there's no way it is a scam. Dealers don't make much (if any) money with recalls and hate to do them. However don't be surprise if they tell you that there are several things wrong with your car that are not covered by recalls or warranty. Have those check by an independent mechanic who isn't trying to recover funds spent doing recall work. Don't tell him what the issues are. Just say: "Check my car. Someone else told me there were a lot of things wrong with it. I don't remember what they are".

I can understand why you posted anonymously.

Recalls are never announced by flyer. The dealer/importer sends you a letter. No dealer would ever pick up your car at 10pm either. Certain Hondas do have recalls for Takata airbag problems, but you should discuss a check up directly with your dealership, not ring some random number from a flyer or hand your car to some random dude showing up at your door in the middle of the night. Take the car to the dealership yourself and talk to the service advisor. They will tell you what (if any) recalls you need to address by looking at your VIN.

Yes it's a scam. If they show up. Don't open the door and do call the cops. Make sure you have your tin foil hat on and Days of Our Lives playing full volume on the tv

Don't know about the specific notification you are getting, but it is no scam. Takata made airbags for a wide range of cars, and it turns out those airbags are deadly. Much like a grenade, they can propel potentially lethal and blinding shrapnel when they deploy. Takata quickly went bankrupt, leaving the individual auto makers to deal with the problem themselves. See the video. Already two dozen people have been killed and at least 240 injured by the airbags.

Not in Australia it is replaced Free

I'd deliver the vehicle to the dealer and wait for it.

As I understand it, 1 person in a Civic was killed by a faulty Takata airbag and so 35 million cars are suspect, causing Takata to go bust. My Subaru was affected too but it took them a year to fix it. I was told not to use the passenger seat but I did, I think the odds were in my favour. However, a flyer though your door looks suspect, either a scam to steal you car or some lawyer trying to drum up compo business. Contact your dealer, they will know if your car is affected.
