Looking to buy a new car, thinking Honda or Acura (same brand). Any others I should consider?

I'm currently on the last legs of my chevy cobalt, which was my first car. Despite it being a dinky little GM it has taken me far and been a great car. Sad to see it go. However, I want to buy a car with more longevity. I know Honda's are great, strong cars with quality that lasts. Unfortunately I'm having trouble finding a used one around me right now with the details I want (sedan and sunroof, black interior, not beige, grey or white).
What are some other makes that stand the test of time? I know toyota's are great as well, but having a similar issue finding a used one around me. I want more options to look into.

Another person who has been fooled by the hype thinking Honda and Toyota are best… Far from it. You should work on them everyday and you would have a much different opinion.

Since used Honda often sell for more than their book value, you should look at Kia & Hyundai the have better reliability rating than Honda at the current time. The new cars with a 100,000 warranty proved they were serious about making cars which last. The Hyundai Sonata is a really nice luxury ride, good luck.

Toyota is known for making long lasting reliable cars just look at the odometers of some of the older ones and a world famous mechanic- Scotty Kilmer only recommends them. Honda and Acura are also great cars however in the past they have had a lot of flaws in there transmissions causing failure. Nissan is about borderline between Toyota and Honda. Any cars from these Japanese cars should be able to last a long time just by doing routine maintenance as the owners manual recommends.

We have an 09 Lexus, just a lovely car.
