Can I pass motorcycle test on this bike?
A few years ago I had a ninja zx7r 750 for my first bike. My car had conveniently died as I got the bike, and so I was forced to do all my commuting with it. Taught myself to ride in a parking lot. I had paid for an msf course but due to work missed the class and lost the money, so I rode on a permit for the season. Ended up moving shortly after and sold the bike. Haven't ridden since. Now I'm picking up a Honda shadow 1100 in a week and while I want to take the course, and plan to, there's no way I will get in for months. I will get my permit to practice on but how difficult will the test be on this bike? Any suggestions for which location to test at in nh?
Find a smaller bike to take the test, it's doable on the Shadow but you better practice your @ss off and get really good.
No you can't.
Testing on a Honda Shadow would be a lot easier than testing on a ZX-7R.
Considering a lot of the maneuvers are done at relatively "slow" speed, having a bike that has a lower center of gravity will be to your advantage. Riding very slowly on a super sport rocket is annoying.
(One of the tests we did was to california stop over and over only using the friction zone. So speed up using the friction zone, and come almost to a stop without tipping over, then letting it back out, slowing down to almost a stop without putting your foot down, etc. No throttle. Again, doing this on a super, sucks!)
The weave would be easier on a rocket, but hey, they teach courses with Honda Rebels and Honda Nighthawks usually, so your Shadow wouldn't be that much different from a Rebel. (Just bigger.)
- Test light on positive lead on starter relay comes on when the motorcycle is off, when bike key is turn on, test light is off? Does this mean starter relay is bad? I'm trying to diagnose my electrical problem on a honda cbr f4. The lights turned on but when I tried to start bike all power shut off and now nothing powers on.
- Passed CBT test yesterday, category A and Moped category P. What bike can I get? I'm getting really confused with the new 2013 law, i've read anyone aged 17 can ride a 125cc bike with CBT passed. I did the test on a moped yesterday i'm aged 18 19 in may 30th so can I ride 125cc Honda cbr road legal bike. now I read there's A1 test? Do I have to achieve this now to get the 125cc bike, or since i'm 18 i've reached the age legal requirements with a passed a CBT test and can go out and buy a spanking new bike 125cc.
- Motorcycle road skills test in Louisiana? So I have study material for the written test, but I need to know what I'm up against on a road skills test in Louisiana. I need this, because this is my first road bike, plus not to mention its a 87 Honda Shadow 700, which is a big step from a trail dirt bike. It'd be nice to know all regs, disqualifications, and the maneuvers that I have to do in order to pass. Drawings are welcomed as well to explain the maneuvers.
- Motorcycle dealer does not want to negotiate? Should I pass? Trying to buy a 2015 honda pcx150. I've called 2 dealers who both only want me to pay full MSRP + TTL + Fees. Why are they so reluctant to negotiate? I'm a cash buyer. What is their problem? Should I just pass and maybe wait until the winter starts to hit and maybe then they would be more willing to negotiate?
