Can I use a different nut for my motorcycle exhaust?
I have Vance and Hines pipes on my honda shadow and a nut came loose and fell off somewhere. Can I put any type of nut on there as long as the threads are the same or does it have to be the exact kind that came off because the kind that came of was a cap nut that prevents over torque.
Any nut is fine.
Cap nuts do not prevent over torque.
They are decorative - they look better.
Ok kool thank you. The guy at autozone said it prevents u from over torque but what you said makes more since
- My dealer didn't give me a wheel lock nut key? It is almost a year since I bought by car from the honda dealer, today I notice. I never got a wheel lock nut key. Is it too late to call them?
- Does a dual yoshimura exhaust have different sized holes just like on a stock CRF250R? I own a 2006 Honda CRF250R bike which has dual exhaust which comes stock on the bike. For the stock dual, the left exhaust has a slightly bigger hole than the right because of making even airflows. MY QUESTION IS: I want to buy a dual Yoshimura from motosport.com, i'm not sure if they have different sized holes just like stock. And if they don't, does it make a difference?

- If in the owners manual it says I should use 5W-20 motor oil, can I use 10W-40 motor oil instead? I have a 2009 Honda Fit. I just recently bought 10W-40 and when I got home to put oil in the manual said 5W-20. What's the difference? And is it okay if I still use the 10W-40?
