How to build a trike chopper?

I've been wanting to build a trike for a while now to pay tribute to the old school 70's show trikes but I don't know what kind of rear end to use I'm probabily going to buy a honda or yamaha from the 80's to start the bike but I don't want to use a vw bug what kind of rear end should I use?

Your best course of action is to get on the internet and try to locate an old in-line four cylinder 750cc or above engine. For various reasons, my preference is Honda. I have used these engines on various projects throughout the years with a minimum of trouble. Next,
locate a used frame, and whatever additional parts you need. Unless you are very skilled in such things and insist on doing it yourself, you should try to buy sonething as close to conplete as possible then modifying it to your taste. If by some miracle there's a good bike salvage yard anywhere near you, get really friendly with the owner/operators. You are taking on a task of monumental proportions.

Look online.

There are 1000's of steps to follow. To many to list here.

  • 2004 Honda Crf150f Build? So I found a crf150f frame for 20 bucks on craigslist in great condition. It has the back swingarm the cdi box and the spark plug cables. I'm either gonna sell it on ebay for a higher price or build a bike. I know this is a beginners bike but it's a step up from what I have now which is a mini bike. I was wandering if i do decide to buld the bike what should I buy first to start the build. Do any of you have an order in which you build a bike? Let me know.
