I bought a dirt bike with a grounded off vin what to do? Ordered new parts and everything on the way

Spent almost 200$ on this and found out the vin was grounded and a honda sticker was covering it! What should I do I had the bike for days. The person signed my bill of sale not that that helps but I contacted them and told them and they said the bike was stolen and recovered by them. I did research and basically if I keep it and I get caught I'm in trouble if I give it to the police I'm in trouble like what should I do. Part out? It's hard to find another frame for the bike I have

Report it to the police, they can, if they bother, find out who it belonged to (or at least which dealer sold it), and possibly return it to some poor kid who had their bike stolen.

You have then avoided prosecution and learned an expensive lesson.

Depending on actual state, actual dirt bike, maybe a NTA when bike is impounded IF it is ever inspected. Possible real problem- you're on trail and someone recognizes it as theirs, wqs reported stolen and has some identifiable features other than VIN--and insurance company that says pay ALL costs of claim in 3 days or else vehicle theft charge pushed hard. Many states will say under $500.00 is misdemeanor theft, especially if it doesn't have a title so not a 'legal' motor vehicle for use on public way. Some states may say if you report it to police, turn it over to them and nobody claims it- you get it back with paperwork good for parts sale or use offroad.

Just leave it on the side of the road somewhere.
