Is Bajaj Avenger a good bike for a beginner?

I'm planning to take a 2 wheeler but confused between bajaj avenger and honda activa. I'm a beginner. I like avenger as I'm fond of cruisers, but at the same time I'm preferring activa as i don't know to ride a bike. Please suggest me to get out of this confusion.

Dear friend, Avenger's rider position and handlebar, etc., are little different than ordinary bikes. So, first you learn by another bike and then go for Avenger!

Love for cruisers is a differet thing and learning a bike is different. What I siggest is that you should go for a second hand Honda Activa or Suzuki Access or Suzuki Swish, learn on it, use it for 4 months after learning it, and then buy a used Hero Honda CD Deluxe, learn on it, use it for 5-6 months, and then buy a bike like Avenger or whatever.

People travelling on Avenger really look like fat short uncles or rowdies, gangsters. Better get some decent Jap bike like a Honda Dream or Honda Activa 125cc
