Motorcycle not starting, bad battery or something else?

I have a 2000 honda cbr 600f4 brand new battery this year worked great for first couple months then stopped for a second while out riding to look at my phone. I killed the engine but left key in the ON position for less then 5 min and after that day been having issues with starting my bike. All lights come on, headlights gauge lights and led lights, but the bike will not turn over. It acts like a dead battery even with a fresh charge. Do you think I just got a bad battery or is there something else that could be wrong?

Attach a car battery (car not running) to your bike and try to start it.
If everything works as normal, replace the battery and check the charging system.
Batteries go bad over time and lose the ability to hold a charge.

I never understood the actual of 'rims'. Especially wheels that big. It SCREAMS 'look in me'… I have income, OR, I want everyone to consentrate I have more when compared with they do. When actually a large number of cars/rims are rented. Try to be yoInput article body below…

Does it crank over when you try to start it or just click?

Have you checked all the connections on the battery and to the starter relay, ect?

1/ check the kill switch.
2/ check sidestand switch
3/ check clutch switch
4/make sure you're in neutral

Any one of these can stop the starter from coming in.
Next. Make sure all high current terminals are clean & tight.
Now is there a click from the starter solenoid when you press the button. If not see 1 - 4, check button, check starter solenoid.
If yes check with a meter that the solenoid is making good contact. Check starter motor runs when you temp bridge the starter terminals.
If this all sounds too confusing for you - take it to a mechanic.
