Should i wax and polish the scrubbed areas of my tank before installing a tank pad?
I own a Honda CBR250R that's just over a month old now, and even though I've been riding with a mesh jacket (the zipper is on top, at the collar), the tank has a few spots at the middle, towards the bottom, where the tank meets the seat. I assume this is probably due to my tendency to hug the tank while riding. The thing is, i'm installing a tank pad shortly, and i want to know if i should wax and polish these spots before i install the tank pad or will it interfere with the adhesion of the pad to the tank.
Yes, you should. Please have a look at the video for same.
- What is the the difference between a resin tank long and a resin tank short? For a 2001 honda passport? What is the the difference between a resin tank long and a resin tank short? For a 2001 honda passport 2wd? What are the measurements for each thank you
- Should I replace speakers and headunit in car before I sell it? I have a Honda S2000 and I'm thinking of selling it soon. There speakers are blown, the aftermarket head unit is worn and finicky, there's an amp in the trunk, and the fob for the alarm needs reprogrammed. Should I replace the stock head unit and put some cheap speakers in or should I just leave it as is? I don't know if fixing the stuff would make a huge difference on the price I'd receive
- Should I use a silicone sealant and/or blue loctite when installing a stator on a motorcycle? The stator recently went out on my 2003 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 and I'm currently waiting on the replacement stator to arrive. It's come to attention that some people use blue loctite when bolting in the stator into the case, then a silicone sealant around the case when re-bolting it to the bike. Is this necessary/recommended and what kind of sealant should I use for the case if I need some?
- How many years from the year the motorcycle was built should you hold onto it before the parts become too expensive For example I was interested in buying a 2006 Honda CBR600f4i until I looked up the price of the fairing pieces. Just a small piece of the fairing was over $600. Of course they charge that price because they want you to buy a new motorcycle.
