Upgrading spark plugs will it increase hp? Motorcycle honda shadow rs 750 2013? - 1
Hi No that is some myth as spark plugs are designed in heat ranges. Putting the wrong heat range plug. In will do one of two things one not fire when it is cold engine or two misfire when the engine gets too hot. So using anything other than the correct spark plug will give you problems.
Nope. Sorry, Skippy. Different spark plugs won't increase horsepower. HOWEVER, if you install the WRONG plugs, you COULD do serious damage to your engine. I suggest you stay with the plugs that are recommended by the motorcycle manufacturer.
No. Spark plugs do not increase HP. New ones may make your bike run better than the old used up ones were, but your engine will make the same HP as it would have with new ones of the old version.
- Would a Honda Shadow Phantom 750 be a begginer motorcycle? OK. I'm 16 years old I've bought all the nessecary gear I got that idea of watching cyclecruza's squid videos and didn't want that to happen to me. Well because I shouldn't look up to my dad who rides a Harley 1200 who only wears a helment a t shirt and just jeans. I know not to go over the speed limit but all I need to know if thus good first bike.
- What motorcycle will give me a similiar ride to my 750 Shadow but bigger? I learned to ride on a 2007 Honda Shadow VT750C2F and now I'm looking to go bigger. I love almost every detail about my Shadow; tire size, spokes, driveshaft, handling, width, engine look and feel etc. However, in my next bike I want a bigger gas tank, more cubic cenimeters (inches) and I want to sit a bit higher on the hog (pun intended). 6 speed would be nice but mostly I want the look, feel and reliability of my Shadow in an 1100cc+. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
- Spark plugs covered with oil plus exhaust smoke? Just got the carbs cleaned and working perfectly on my 82 Honda Nighthawk 450. I started the bike and just a moment later there's a white smoke coming from the engine and exhaust. I took the spark plugs off to aid in addressing the issue and I have found that there's a black oil on them. Anybody have an idea as to what's going on here?
- How to read spark plugs over time? I know how to read spark plugs but over time, would a reading be accurate? Have a Honda whose spark plug is maybe 2 years old, would its reading still be similarly accurate as if it was only after a first good week of use? Stock everything, the porcelain is black, I'm upjetting now with a aftermarket exhaust and filter, should I upjet with if the porcelain is black? With the length of time? Should I try a new reading with a new plug? (Already installed one)
