What motorcycle will give me a similiar ride to my 750 Shadow but bigger?
I learned to ride on a 2007 Honda Shadow VT750C2F and now I'm looking to go bigger. I love almost every detail about my Shadow; tire size, spokes, driveshaft, handling, width, engine look and feel etc. However, in my next bike I want a bigger gas tank, more cubic cenimeters (inches) and I want to sit a bit higher on the hog (pun intended). 6 speed would be nice but mostly I want the look, feel and reliability of my Shadow in an 1100cc+. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Honda made 1100cc Shadows. Some had the single crankpin, some were dual crankpin--and I only mention that because I think it was the last dual-crankpin V-twin made and I think that might be better! (Smoother, more powerful).
For years and years now Honda has made the VTX line (V-Twin Extreme). They went from 1100cc up to 2000cc, a few years ago when Japanese cruiser makers were competing to see who could make the biggest V-twin). For some reason, Honda cruisers don't seem to have been as popular as Kawsaki and Yamaha.
A few months ago a friend and I were planning to go across the country this Summer. She rides a Harley Heritage Softail and she had trouble keeping up with me on my Honda ST1100, so I thought I'd get a cruiser too so we'd be more equally matched. I looked at the Yamaha Roadstar and the Kawasaki VN1500 and 'Nomad'. I really loved them! Craigslist has a lot of them and for some reason they never have a lot of miles on them. (I ended up deciding to keep the ST).
There's also Suzuki Boulevard S50 (800cc) and Kawasaki 900, but those are too close to what you have already.
Go to the 1100cc Shadow.
Well larger tank will be needed on a big bike it will get alot less mileage. I like the suzukis, its opinion though.

Uhh, than why don't you get an 1100 Shadow?
- My wife's but is too big for the backseat of of my Honda Rebel 250? How to make a bigger backseat? My wife finds the backseat of my 2006 Rebel uncomfortably small. I've searched the internet to see if they make a larger option, but I haven't found anything. Is there a larger backseat I can buy? I'm considering building my own. I have foam and vinyl, but I need to think of a material to make a sturdy, seat-shaped frame piece that I could attach the vinyl to. Any ideas?
- Would a Honda Shadow Phantom 750 be a begginer motorcycle? OK. I'm 16 years old I've bought all the nessecary gear I got that idea of watching cyclecruza's squid videos and didn't want that to happen to me. Well because I shouldn't look up to my dad who rides a Harley 1200 who only wears a helment a t shirt and just jeans. I know not to go over the speed limit but all I need to know if thus good first bike.
- What is the max speed in each gear for a 2009 Honda Shadow Spirit 750? I can't find any details, even from Honda, what the maximum speed in MPH is for each of the 5 gear ratios on my 750 Shadow. Also, what is the engine redline? No factory tach and no details on what the engine is capable of turning.
- Is a 1980 Honda cm400t a good beginner bike? I'm just looking for something that I can learn how to ride and ride in the city? I have completed the msf course and was looking alt 250's but couldn't find any near me in price range but the Honda 400 was
