Was buying this motorcycle a mistake?
Last week I bought a 2007 Honda Cbr600rr from a guy who lives an hour and 30 minutes away from me. This bike has 94xx miles it and was priced at $5500. The guy who previously owned the motorcycle changed the fairings to a matte black and also added a scorpion exhaust. I'm pretty sure the guy said the bike was never dropped, but I later found scratches on top of the one of the mirrors and one of the spools broken. After I brought the bike I drove it to a storage unit and noticed that sometimes when I lean to the left the bike seems to make a clunk noise and it feels like I just hit a rock, but besides that the bike seems to be in good condition. What is really making me doubt is that the guy didn't give the toolkit, the owners manual, and I only got one key. I was so excited and dumb that I didn't realized this until days later? Was getting this bike a mistake?
Don't freak out, its to soon to tell. Just go get it checked out by a mechanic to see if anything is wrong.
You're probably going to be OK. You need to find out what the clunk noise is… It could be a bad bearing, so something else, but you have to find that.
- You say do I need to keep the Bell helmet the renter wore when he slipped, and crashed my motorcycle? My motorcycle is the 2008? Honda CBR600RR super sport motorcycle. The Cofounder of Riders- Share.Com compensated me the full amount of the motorcycle repairer's written damage estimate. I was also fully compensated for the helmet, which the renter wore when he crashed my motorcycle and my helmet.
- Should i buy start buying motorcycle gear? I'm taking the MSF basic course on july 25-27, should i start buying motorcycle gear? Or wait until i get my motorcycle. Cause i'm thinking between a cruiser ( ex: honda shadow ) or a sport bike. Cause i'm buying it used.
- I've just turned 18 today and i'm gonna be getting a motorcycle what motorcycle would suit me? I'm only 90-95 pounds and I'm short what would be a good light weight cruiser around 250-300 pounds like my Honda Twinstar 185? I can't balance anything too big as i'm small, I need something that's lightweight, preferably Harley, but any work for me a bikes a bike, Thank you in advance! Note: My Honda Twinstar does not run my father had that bike since I was 7 or 8 and gave it to me when I was 9 but it sat out so long it doesn't work.
- How much should I expect to buy in fees when buying a new motorcycle at a dealership? I want to buy a Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS that has an MSRP of $5,299 in the state of California. The dealership I plan on going to is Fremont Honda Kawasaki. I would be financing the motorcycle. Up-front, how much should I expect to pay, assuming I buy the bike at MSRP? Thanks! Also, what information would they need? ID etc? I'm 17 and have no permit or license for any sort of vehicle. Could my mother buy it for me? She has a Class C license only.
