What's the law for a moped in mass?
So I'm thinking about getting a Honda ruckus (a moped/scooter) it's on 50cc but what are the laws for it in Massachusetts I know some of them but can I use it just with my permit or so I need a license
Seems like a permit is fine.
in Massachusetts the Restrictions When Operating a Moped are as follows;
Mopeds will not be operated:
By any person under 16 years of age.
By any person who does not have a valid license or permit.
At a speed greater than 25 miles per hour.
Without the operator and any passenger wearing a DOT standard helmet.
Motorized bicycles -- no more than 25 mph
Motor scooters -- no more than 20 mph.
If you don't want people trying to run you off the road, you want a motorcycle.
A Honda Ruckus is legally and actually a motorcycle. You will need a motorcycle permit or license.

There's also a eye test, to make sure you can't walk into walls.
Again, Think "Motorcycle" -- a Ruckus is not a "moped" or a "scooter", no matter what people call it.
- My Moped Stopped Working, What's Wrong with it? (Honda Aero 55 1983')? I have a Honda aero 55, 1983 and I was riding it one day when it just shut off out of nowhere. I've had it about a year now and never had a problem. Oil and gas is full and when I kick start it, it sounds normal just doesn't start. Also the battery isn't bad, charged it over night and tried it with no hope. Any ideas?
- My 2006 Honda Metropolitan Moped is not running right? When I slowly give my moped gas it runs fine until I hit about full throttle, then it like starts to bog down, its hard to explain but we think its a carburetor problem. Due to the previous owner taking off then air cleaner for an unknown amount of time. If you can give me tips/advice I'd appreciate it.

- Passed CBT test yesterday, category A and Moped category P. What bike can I get? I'm getting really confused with the new 2013 law, i've read anyone aged 17 can ride a 125cc bike with CBT passed. I did the test on a moped yesterday i'm aged 18 19 in may 30th so can I ride 125cc Honda cbr road legal bike. now I read there's A1 test? Do I have to achieve this now to get the 125cc bike, or since i'm 18 i've reached the age legal requirements with a passed a CBT test and can go out and buy a spanking new bike 125cc.
