My car won't start smell like gas?
I have a 1995 mitsubishi eclipse crank engine try to start but turns of and I can smell gas.5 days ago it was raining hard and I was driving home till my car flooded really bad water came inside my car and one of my headlights don't work also my timing belt skip one tooth my sparks plug and distubeter was replace by auto nation honda. What can be the problem my car just started by 3 hour later I try to start it but won't start I have to do it couple of time to start the car.
Sounds like you took your car swmimg! Cars are not supposed to get THAT wet. The ignition system sounds wet. That would stop spark, causing you to have it not start and smell gasoline. Pull it apart and let it dry out. - and get that timing belt changed.

- Smell gas inside car? 92 honda civic? I have a slight gas smell coming from the cab of my car. Its a 92 civix dx sedan. I can smell it from inside and slightly from the outside when i stand by the front of car. They are are NO visible leaks on the ground. What can this be? Any honda experts out here?

I have no idea what it is or could be any more. I've pulled the starter and put in a new one and the starter is still not catching the fly wheel. I have even resorted to charging the battery, checking all fluids (transmission, antifreeze, etc.) and putting in 5 gallons of gas but still nothing, can't pay to get it to a shop. Anything helps thanks.
