Aerodynamic clutch kit for a Honda Odyssey?

Hi! Our Odyssey van has been lately using a lot of gas. It gets about twelve miles to the gallon. I took it to my neighborhood mechanic who found out that it was because the transmission gear clutch was slipping. He recommended that we should get an aerodynamic clutch kit and that he could have one installed for $1,500 parts and labor. The price seems kind of steep so I was wondering if I could find one for cheaper and have him install it for me. I haven't been able to find one for a 2006 Honda Odyssey. Could anyone guide me?

Never heard of such thing for a clutch kit. Maybe its a hydraulic clutch kit, or a dynamic clutch kit.
Aerodynamic means having a shape that allows air to move pass around it, less drag.

The clutch kit ranges from 300-500, it is the labor on transmission work that is expensive.

Does it rev high before it moves, is it slow to accelerate these are indicative of transmission slip. Does engine get to hot, almost overheats, is the Check engine light on.

Poor gas mileage can be cause of many combinations, such as bad valve adjustment, bad timing, poor cylinder combustion, low cylinder compression, under inflated tires, carrying too much load, etc.

Check with another mechanic for another opinion and a diagnostic.
Check with transmission shops and ask them for a quote.
