Minivans: Mazda, Toyota or Dodge?

I'm looking for a minivan. And I'm confused between a 2007 Toyota Sienna (145000 Km), a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan (75000 Km) and a 2012 Mazda 5 (52000 Km). Both Toyota and Mazda are basic models, while the Dodge has some extra options like back up camera and DVD. While I like the Toyota Sienna minivans, I'm not able to afford a newer one for now. Which one should I consider, especially for reliability and resale value (I'm planning to sell this minivan and get a newer Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey in the near future).

Toyota

Keep in mind the Mazda 5 is more of a microvan than a minivan. I'd get the Mazda 5 if you are fine with having 6 seats. But otherwise a Sienna or Oddessey is better. The Grand Caravan is an unreliable piece of junk that has has the same problems since the 80s. A contractor I know that has had one said his Grand Caravan has spent as much time in the shop as it has been on the road.

The Sienna
The Mazda is more of a "mini-minivan". It's smaller compared to any other minivan. It can barely fit an adult in the last row but if you don't mind it's smaller size/capacity, it's also a good choice.
I wouldn't buy a Caravan if you want reliability and resale value. The only reason why it seems popular is because it's lower price tag is appealing, quality wise it's no where near as good as a foreign brand minivan. The resale value is also very low like most American brand cars, a used Caravan is worth much less than a similar year/condition/mileage foreign brand minivan.

  • Why Suzuki is not as popular as Toyota, Honda.Nissan, Mazda, and Subaru? I hardly see any Suzuki vehicles on the road, and wonder why if t is also Japanese. it appears that both Mitsubishi and Suzuki lag behind its Japanese counterparts. I feel Suzuki are very good cars, but most people fail to see that and they don't notice it.
  • Which of these minivans is best? My parents want to buy a new minivan for our family of 5, and we're debating between these four - Honda Odyssey - Kia Sedona - Nissan Quest - Toyota Sienna Which would you buy? (the 2016)
  • Mazda reliability? Particularly 2013 mazda 3? I'm in the market for a new car and I was looking between 2013 Toyota corolla which is just boring and doesn't have as much features compared to Honda, or mazda. The Mazda 3 is at a good price 1000 dollars cheaper then the Toyota. So my question is, is Mazda reliable for that generation, or should I stick with a very well known reliable car maker?
  • How reliable is Chevrolet Malibu compared to Honda, Toyota and MAzda? My mother is looking to buy a new car and it seems 2015 Chevy Malibu is the cheapest mid-size sedan available. The price at the local dealer is $17,500 compared to $23,000 Mazda 6. My Mazda protege has almost 200k miles and has never ever given me any trouble. However my 2009 Subaru Outback with 60k has been nothing trouble. So I was wondering how reliable are those Malibus? Do they need expensive repairs done often?
